All my pieces are cut and I am ready for the next set of instructions fro Judy.

Prairie Dust

Prairie Dust is loaded and I have started the quilting on it. It has only been about 1 year since I made this top. I guess it is about time I get around to quilting it.

All is well here. Tomorrow is quilting group day. I am looking forward to seeing all my sewing buddies. I will probably start making my HST for Judy L.'s quilt.

Enough

I finally have enough quarter pieces to make the spider web blocks for the quilt top.

What a lot of sewing. I don't want to see anymore scraps for a while.

I will now remove the paper off the backs then sew the blocks together.

What a process but I know it will be well worth it.

Judy's Quilt Along

I have decided to join in on Judy L.'s quilt along. I have been working for over a week now on Bonnie's spiderweb pattern. It is time consuming and I don't think it helps any that I have decided to make it bigger than hers. That means more blocks, more quarter blocks, more sewing, more scraps (hopefully) used.

Here is a picture of the fabrics I had chosen to use on this quilt. It certainly took me a while today to pick out what I wanted. I had other fabrics chosen but then decided that I could not come up with a background I was happy with.

One more question, is anyone else having a problem with pictures on blogs they are trying to read. Some blogs I only get a square with a red x others work fine. Some blogs will work fine one time and not the next. Is there anyone else having this problem?

I best be getting this picture sent off to Judy so I can get the 1st instalment of instructions.

following the messiah

Yes I am, that could also be Yes I can. I know I said I would not post anymore political views on this blog but guess what, our Prez (as he likes to be called) promised we would have 5 days to review the stimulus package before a vote would be taken and that DID NOT happen.

Why was it important to vote on the plan today, OH YEAH, Nancy Pelosi had to go to Europe to get an award. I wonder what type of an award, maybe a socialism award?

This stimulus bill was passed and no one knows what is in it. There was no time for anyone the read the over 1100 pages in this bill. It was delivered to the House last night after 11 p.m. and had to be voted on today. (That is no one but the few Democrats that wrote the bill.) I guess our congressmen thought it was more important to follow the fascist Prez instead of doing what is right for the nation and vote is bankruptcy bill down. Our great great grandchildren will be paying this off. Why is there no outrage over this? This man has spent more in three weeks than has been spent in the history of our nation. WHERE IS THE OUTRAGE??????

All I can say is thank-you to the 52% of Americans who voted for this change we can believe in.

Oh, don't spend your tax break all in one place either, the whole $13 a week you are going to get.

My Crocs

These are the crocs my son and DIL gave me for Christmas. The weather is finally nice enough to wear them today. I really like them . They are comfortable and squishy on my feet when I walk. I also like them because they do not look like the clog style.

A sweeter world

My world got a bit sweeter today. My friend gave me a bag full of my favorite Russian candy. I have been doing some mending for her and she gave me a dozen fresh eggs and this yummy candy.

Some sewing

Here is a picture of a baby quilt I made for a co-worker. I used fabric I bought on sale from Jo-Ann's. It is really cute, mint green background with pastel colored pacifiers on it. She is having a boy and I decided I didn't want to make blue and decided to go with this. I like how soft it came out. I used Jacobs Ladder pattern.

This is the top that became of the sunflower blocks I started last year. I used up all of my small sunflower print on this quilt. I am happy with that - I think I had this fabric for 5 plus years,\.

I couldn't sleep this morning so here it is 6:35 and I am wide awake. I will have to sew. I am going to work on my scrappy spider web posted on Bonnie's site.

I hope I don't fall asleep during the Superbowl. I am rooting for the Cardinals. We'll see.
