This is my favorite quilt. I use this quilt each winter on my bed. It is big, warm, and soft. This quilt came about by miss cutting muslin squares I needed for another project. I cut all my squares at 51/2 instead of 61/2 which I needed. I therefore had to go buy new muslin to use and had about 30 squares all the wrong size. I therefore made this quilt with the squares. I decided to name the quilt "Opps all the way" because of the adventures in miscutting. I originally made this quilt with my niece Amie in mind but when I was completed I could not part with it. I tried it on my bed to see how it would look and have been using it the last 4 winters on my bed. I did make Amie a different quilt and gave that one to her. When I find a picture of that quilt I will post it. I think I will have to will this one to her upon my passing, if it is still around then. The reason for this post with this picture is it is just about time now to take this off the bed and replace it with a quilt that is not so warm. I will miss the quilt but be very happy when I can start using it again next fall. Hope and pray all have a good evening.

Just a quick post. I wanted to get a mid-week post in. This is a picture of a quilt I made for my supervisor for her birthday. I used up many of my scraps in this quilt. I did not have her in mind when I started the quilt but as it went together she kept popping in my mind. She enjoys the quilt greatly. It was fun to make and a great way to use up scraps.
I am still quilt on the quilt in the previous post. Mondays are a no sew day, I work all day, rush home, go to Bible study, arrive home about 9:15, just in time to see the last half of Two and a half men. Then it is to bed so I can get to work at 8 am on Tuesday. I am not complaining but Monday is my busy day.
I will quilt tonight, hopefully get the quilt finished, if not I will get it done tomorrow night. I have three quilt tops of my own to quilt. I have to get started on my around the world for my quilting group, and start working on a couple of BOM's I am doing off the internet. I will go quilt now, have a good evening.

This is a quilt I made for my husband when I first started quilting. He said I made my quilts to small so I decided to make a big quilt for him. I followed the pattern for the spinning stars out of Fons and Porter quilting book. I then had to come up with ideas ot make the quilt bigger. I decided to use friendship stars around the spinning stars then hole in the barn door following the stars. I did not measure or plan, just made the blocks and luckly they fit togeather perfectly. I named this quilt "Looking thru the barn door at night" I know its a long name but I couln't come up with anything thing else. We do use this on our bed. It is between a queen and king size. I quilted it on my sewing machine. What a chore that was shoving this big quilt through the throat of a small domestic sewing machine. I used multicolored rayon thread with a star pattern that is set in my machine stitch library. I also outlined the stars and barn door with the quilting stitch on my machine using black thread. I do like this quilt and use it often.

I really like this quilt. I reminds me of all the beautiful flowers out there and guess these flowers will never have to be thrown out. Oh the silly things that go through my mind. I hope every one has a great week end. If all goes as planned I will have a new quilt to post next week. I am almost finished quilting it, hope to finish tomorrow and bind.
Hubby and I are planning on going to the movies tomorrow. Walk the Line is playing at the cheap theater in town, I love Johnny Cash so I really want to see this movie but wanted to wait until it played at the Hood in Gresham so we will go tomorrow to see it. I am really excited to see it on the big screen. Hope I am not disappointed.
I will get back to quilting now. Good evening to all.
