Here is the final picture of my April HAD. As I stated before I think the green is too much, I can't say I am happy with the color scheme I came up with but it is done, and there is just something about it that makes me like it just a bit. Maybe it is because it is so different from what I would
usually choose, I don't really know. Hubby likes it.
I decided to snap a
picture of my paper piecing as far as I am now. It is slow, but a very good project for watching television. I haven't felt like doing to much sewing in the last few weeks, this crud has really kicked my butt. Last week-end, Thurs-Sunday, I was dead to the world. I only got out of bed to take more medicine and go back to bed. I would lie in bed thinking "I wish I was dead or how long since I was this sick?" I felt like I had been run over by a steam roller.
I did work this week, Mon-Thurs, decided to not be
available for work today, and I am getting the sniffles back. I
slept in until 9:00 a.m., which means I am behind on my chores for the day, but it sure felt good to sleep in. I will get started on chores and hopefully get some sewing done today.
I hope everyone has a great week-end and also that the crud passes over your doorpost. It is horrible and I don't wish this upon anyone. Good-day.

I've always liked those flower quilts.
How did you hang up your HAD quilt?
English paper piecing? Goodness, it's beautiful.
Glad you finished the HAD even tho you weren't crazy about it. Done is Done!!! (And that feels SO much better than left UNdone!)
Your HAD looks lovely - I wouldn't have automatically picked that combination of colours either but they look great once pieced
Feel better, I dont know what you've contracted but I had a bronchial thing over Easter which is was no picnic; I am terrible at being sick... I have no patience with it. The G'mothers Flower Garden is gorgeous... and the HAD quilt is pretty fabulous, too!!
I think your HAD is quite lovely. No, it's not an "In your face" color schme, but it is soft and restful, yet still interesting. So there! Enjoy it - I sure do. And ta tahhhh, it's DONE. 8-) And, even better, you used up existing fabric!
Hope you are on the mend.
Your HAD has such movement to it and I like it. Your hexagons look great and wonder what else you will do with them. Hope you feel better soon.
Sorry you caught the crud. Your paper piecing project is coming along wonderfully - makes me want to work on some, too. Your HAD project looks great! Now, get well.
I like your color choices for you April HAD quilt. Blue and green are two of my favorites!
Be sure and share a photo of it with Judy L - I looked thru her folder and don't recall seeing a photo of your quilt there. :c) YET! ~Bonnie in SE Texas
