April HAD

Here are the nine patches done and ready for the next set on instructions. I only used two different fabrics for the nine patches, used the strip method to make them, therefore it didn't take too long to complete. I have chosen a medium blue for where the red is on Judy's example and a lighter grey/blue for the ecru portion. I don't know if I am really happy with the fabric choices but this is what I came up with only using my stash. If you have read my previous blog entries, you know I am trying not to purchase any fabric this year. I think this will make a nice charity quilt and I really like to follow Judy's patterns. We will all see what the outcome is.
I got a summons to jury duty today. The funny thing about this I just served on jury duty two weeks ago. We were told at the time of service we are not required to serve again for two years, maybe time is slipping by quicker than I thought. I did call and speak with a clerk at the court and he said I don't have to show. I certainly hope they remember this on the date that I was scheduled for, I would hate to have a warrant out for my arrest.
I did find my glasses I lost at the wedding. Oh, thank the Lord for that. I was beginning to think they weren't going to show up and I would have to order a new pair but they surfaced and I am very very happy about that.
Not much else, I will go start up the beast and do some quilting. Have a great evening.

I really was trying not to start any more majoy projects this month but I really do like this pattern. And I have some red/white 9-patches already made. And a nice navy with white stars and a WOW for the alternate blocks. So I think I will make this and send it to one of the veterens groups in the area.

I don't mind taking a turn at jury duty - but every two weeks may be pushing the envelope a bit *s*

I think it is good that you are using your own colors for the quilt. It will make a much more interesting quilt, much better than everybody making the same exact quilt. I've seen so many color combinations for all of Judy's quilts, and they have all been lovely. I think yours will be too.

I am glad that you found your glasses.

So many people are being called for jury duty. I've never been called.
