Dog Beds

I am in the process of making new dog beds for our two dogs. I am sick of the old one we have. I have washed it numerous times and it just doesn't look clean and it is ratty. Things do wear out over time. I am using some samples of fabric one of the ladies brought to our quilting group earlier this month. They are deco fabrics from who knows where.
I sew six of them together. trim so all is even. The piece in the middle of this picture is going to go on the back. I use a large piece of fabric on the back. Sew together
add two worn out pillows that I have stitched together. This is what I end up with....................

A new dog bed. Jo-Jo was using it earlier today and seemed to love it. I am working on one for Bo now. He is a bit jealous that he doesn't have a new bed.
I must get back to work now. Have a great day.

Oh you're a smart girl! I love it! It's so pretty - and what a good use for old pillows! I'm a conservist at heart - I can't throw anything away - what a good way to make your pup happy, save a few pennies, and minimize waste. :)

They look very comfortable. My dogs prefer to sit on the couch though I'm afraid...

What a wonderful use for those deco samples! And I love your idea for stitching two worn pillows together for the 'bed' part. I'll have to keep that in mind when I make my 'boys' new beds. Thanks for sharing your ideas!! :D
