Here it is, the completed Citrus quilt. I like how it turned out. As I stated in my last post I don't really know what I was aiming for, other and a quilt with citrus fruit on it. This is the concept I came up with. It is kinda mish/mash, with no rhyme or reason, but done and I am happy with it. I like how it feels summery to me. I know most of the words I am using are probably not real words but they are the words that come to mind as I try to describe this quilt.
We are having hot weather here. I shouldn't complain, not as hot as other parts of the country, but to hot for me. We hit 102 today and they are predicting about the same for tomorrow. It was a bit hot sewing the binding down but with air conditioning and plenty of ice tea I got the job finished.
Let me know what you think, I look forward to your comments.
I have started the Hour a day quilt. I have all my black/white blocks done and all the fabric cut. I am using 36 different fabrics so none of the colored patches will be the same fabric. Many are in the same color group but not the same shade, tint, or hue and/or print. I think it will be nice when completed. I look forward to seeing how they all turn out.
Enjoy your day and week-end. I probably won't post again until after the week-end as I won't have anything to share. I will be working on the Hour a day and doing housework. I don't want to show any pictures of my messy house or the progress on the cleaning. It is a slow pace and many messes in the process.

Love, love, love the juicy freshness of this citrus quilt! The words are fantastic, have you done any of those before? It's great and so much fun!
That is so cute! Original and just so bright and cheery. Great job!
This might be 'mish-mash' to you, but to me, it's totally original, fresh, bright, summer-y. A GREAT job - You were definitely most successful with this quilt.
Marvelous job!
Great Quilt! Love the bright colors and design.
The citrus quilt is wonderful. Very refreshing! I am doing the quilt an hour quilt too. I am about 15 minutes behind!!
Wow Dot! What a creative mind you have. That quilt is fantastic and fun.
I'm definately not a night owl. I get up at 4:45 even when I don't have to and am usually in bed by 9pm :) You know what they say... early to bed, early to rise...
Oh goodness - that's a lovely summery (and fun) looking quilt. Great job.
Wow, I really love it! Fantastic! I wish I were so creative to think up patterns out of my head!

Love it, love it, love it! Are you keeping it or passing it along? Whoever gets it is going to love it.
I love it!! So summery, indeed. I tried to email you but I couldn't access your email address : (
Thanks for the comments on my UT quilt. I am not really a fan, but my son is crazy about them. I am a Spartan (Michigan State). I, unfortunately, will be translating the UT design into a U of M (that other school) quilt for an art auction for charity. You'll have to pop back over later and check it out.
What a super quilt Dot !
