Tidbits from Finn

My box of stripes and plaids arrived today. Finn had posted a few days ago, she was willing to part with these sample swatches, if the recipient was willing to pay for the postage. Well I jumped in and sent her an e-mail claiming the plaids/stripes. The box came and here is a picture if the contents.
I had to see exactly what was in the booty, so I sat while watching Oprah and sorted out the different sizes. This last picture is how they sorted out by size. I certainly look forward to getting

use of my arms back so I can sew something up with them.
I really need to get well, bones all healed and tenderness gone, so I can get back to work. I have started designing my days around Dr. Phil and Oprah. I have been home way to long. I did walk to a local hair salon today and got my hair cut. It was hard to keep shoulder length hair out of the way and shampooed. I had to pay extra for a shampoo but it certainly was well worth the extra 3 dollars. I guess having your hair shampooed before a cut as part of the cut is a thing of the past. I was even charged extra for the bow dry. Customer service is a thing of the past. With only one semi useful hand it was well worth the extra money to have my hair washed real good.
Well, I am going to go now, Jeopardy is about to start and they are doing the college final, from USC. I know it is a repeat but I didn't see it the first time.
Have a great evening. DOT

Well...that is the difference between a Salon and a Quick-Cut place. That and ALOT of money. In a Quick-Cut gal who wishes I could go to the Salon to be pampered. Funny, being pampered means having your hair washed and dried and your pocket emptied, *sigh*.

Have fun with your scraps!

Extra for shampoo AND blow dry! Wow, that sucks!

Dr. Phil and Oprah, every day? You are right, you need to get out of there! But seriously, I hope your healing goes quickly!!

I have been reading your blogs for a while now, enjoy them very much. But I have been traveling a lot lately and did noy know you had broken your arms, I am sooooo very sorry. Do hope yoy will be all better soon. If you are home Sept. 28,29 and I think 30, we will be in Portland. We will be with the Lance Armstrong Orginization at their fundraiser. We will be at the Nike headquarters,at the Tiger woods center. Would love to meet you, so if you feel up to it, come on out and lookme up. We will be at the huge trailer with Lance's picture on the side. I am the oldest there so am not hard to find. I am usually running the cash register. My name is Jewell, so if you can, come see me. I aways like to meet new people, especially ones so far away from where I live.
Do get well soon. have a great evening.

what a wonderful lot of plaids to play with! I think where you go depends on how you are charged for getting hair stuff done. I hear you on being home too long!

I so remember how worth it was for me to have my hair shampooed back when I had wrist surgery. Makes us appreciate the little things. I prefer to pay for what I want. Ususally I prefer to shampoo my own hair and air dry it. Can you get movies on your TV? I enjoy them. Get well soon.
