Okay, this is where I am. I have the shoes all embroidered on the tree, now time for the leaves. This is an idea of what it will look like with leaves on the branches and ground. I really don't care for it. To cluttered.

This is with the leaves on the ground only. I like it better than above picture, but I don't know if it is really a good idea.

This is with no leaves. I will
embroider a few shoes on the ground. I am going to embroider some out on muslin now and attach with straight pins to see if I like it before I go full force.

Please let me know what you think. I really want your input on this. Thanks. Dot

I like it without any leaves at all, with the idea of a few shoes on the ground!
Love the shoe tree!!
I would say that I prefer the second one with leaves on the ground only. But, when you get to quilt it, a few outlined leaf motifs may look good. maybe use variegated thread...:-)
Sorry, it's me agian. I mean quilting motifs on the branches. Cheers!
I like the second one with the leaves on the ground. Very nice idea.
