I sewed and sewed and sewed yesterday. I have to admit I sewed so much I
almost, that is
almost became tired of sewing. I nearly completed the Fiddling with Finn top but just couldn't force myself to sew anymore yesterday so I completed the rows today. I had to make three more blocks, it was either make three more or have have twelve left over so it made more sense to me to make three more.
This is the top without borders. I plan to add a five inch border of the pine cone fabric. I will then be completed and ready for quilting. This will have to wait until another day as I have house work and laundry to do.
I want to get my last quilt for Rosie completed so I can get those sent off to her. I have had six of her quilts since before my accident in August. I want to get that done and sent back so I can get some more and help her with her charity quilts. I believe her cancer camps are in July so I want to get at least twelve more done before that.
Take care, I need to get myself moving. Dot

Wow, that looks like a lot of work! But the effect is very striking. Very nice.
What a great quilt!
That's a great looking quilt, Dot!
(I've actually nodded off at the sewing machine after sewing continuously for hours and hours! Shh...don't tell anyone though.)
Beautiful quilt Ddot. I couldn't make those blocks all day long. But very effective.
Looks great! What a work...I love checker fabric!
housework and laundry with quilting to do??? You mean I'm supposed to pick them and not quilting??? No wonder hubby gets upset..,the quilt is beautiful.
You are so generous! I know how expensive and time consuming a quilt can be (which is why I am not quilting right now). I'm sure your quilts will be loved by all who receive them.
Beautiful quilt Dot. You've been very busy!
That's a stunning quilt!
I love this quilt using the squares from Finn. That brown is just perfect -- and I have to admit I'm not always in love with brown. The Jacob's Ladder quilt is fantastic as well -- I'm sure the couple who is getting it will love it!
LOVE the way this quilt is turning out... I don't usually work with plaids, but I so admire what you've done (and for the charity quilting you do).
