Goodies from SweetPea

A while back SweetPea at Coffee Time Quilts Studios had a "Can you guess what this is?" contest. Well I was one of the winners, there were two of us. These are the neat gifts I received today in the mail. Oh, there were some candies also, but I already ate those. I already know where is fabric will be used. Thanks SweetPea. Here is my first block for Shakespeare in the Park. I don't know if I really am a fan of this block but this one did turn out well. I have tried them in the past and have not liked the outcome. Maybe I just needed more practice.
Well on to more sewing. We are having a wet cold day here, as I say the land of gloom and doom, during the winter months. So dark and wet. Happy sewing to all. Dot

Your block looks beautiful! I don't think I am a fan of that block either, but it does yield a great outcome.

This block is lovely. I really like the dark blue and white. I am enjoying watching the progress on these quilts. It really showchases your skill and the fabric choice. Looking forward to the next block!

Very cool block. It will be fun to see it altogether in one big quilt.

Great start on SITP! I always do the little stars first because I think they take the most time - I love the last row of triangles on the Snail's Trail because they seem to go soooo fast and then I know I am in the home stretch with the top. I like your colors - nice contrast!!! 1 SITP I did - it could have used more contrast so the next 2 I did - I made sure there was lots of contrast!!! Can't wait to see your finished top - it is one of my very favorite patterns!!!

Cheers!
