It's a Baby

I am going to be a grandma. How about that. I have known for a few weeks now but had to wait until I had the okay to post the news on my blog. Our daughter is going to make us grandparents. We certainly are excited about this.
This is a not so good picture of a baby blanket I made in 1998. This is when I first started quilting so the quilt is not made all that well. I bought the squares while in Montana the summer before and embroidered them. Leslee decided she wanted this baby blanket and asked me to keep it for her. I was beginning to think I was never going to be able to give it to her. Now 10 years later, in September, I will have a grandbaby to wrap in this blanket.
This won't be the only special blanket made for this baby. I have an idea or two in mind and the baby's father, well his mom is quilter also and I am sure she has some ideas in mind. This baby will have plenty of quilts, lucky little one.
I will try to get a better picture of the quilt to share but this is it for now.
I am still sewing together the snails trails for SITP. I am getting bored with it, keep telling myself it will be worth it in the end. Well, back to the machine, the sooner I get the blocks sewn together the sooner I can get the quilt top done.
Have a good evening. Dot

Perhaps you can make a few crib quilts and then start on the single bed ones and the graduation quilt, get a head start! Sounds like this baby will be greatly enjoyed.

There will be all sorts of things you can sew for the baby...even the crib sheets as well as the bumber pads, dust ruffle, etc.

How exciting for all involved.
