Well my son and daughter live in Colorado so I decided to make them a quilt for their front room using this block. It won't be very big, mostly a lap quilt but I like the color combination. I am using fabric I bought a few years ago so I only have what I have on hand. I don't know if this fabric is even produced anymore. If anyone out there recognizes it and knows please let me know.
Do you have a favorite block? I would like to know. Post a picture of it on your blog and let all of us know what your favorite block is.
Good day to all. Dot

That recipe looks great. I'm always on the look out to feed the troops sunday.
You always do such nice work.
I like the pinwheel. You always do such a great job of matching those points.
Thanks for the recipe. I think I would have to omit the peppers, though. The natives will revolt if I put them in. :)
The pinwheel block looks great. Those colors make for a wonderful combination.
I agree with Karolee...the points are right on point.
Many thanks for posting this block. We have just come back from a family holiday in the USA, visiting Las vegas and San Francisco, and one of the highlights of the trip was a visit to the Grand Canyon, including a short journey on the Colorado! I feel a quilt block coming on ....!
I don't think I've ever seen that Colorado block, but it's great! Don't have a favorite block off the top of my head -- too many to choose from!
Your Colorado Beauty is beautiful. I want to make some. I like lots of different blocks. 4 Posy is one of them.
Hi Dot, Thanks for sharing your recipe. Sounds good and I think I'll give it a try. I also like the Colorado block you made. Be sure to post a pic of the completed quilt. Love ya, ~Lady Di
Thats a cute lil block.
I love the Colorado Beauty! I think there are some books out with "state" blocks in them too. You might Google that and see if there are other Colorado blocks if you wanted to make it bigger.
Oh boy - Swiss steak. Haven't had that in years, but Mom used to fix it regularly. I need to remember to add it to our menu from time to time *s*
What a fun block!
Thank you for sharing your recipe for swiss steak! I have not thought about that in years, although my mother cooked it often when I was a child. I will have to make it this week!
