First of all we had a wedding this week. Our sweet daughter got married. Here is a picture of the happy couple. They were married on Thursday, welcome to the family Jeremy.

Here is a picture of my 4
th of July quilt. I still have red/white/blue borders to put on then it will be done. I have decided to name this quilt "Live free or die". I never really understood this saying until recently. With our current political happenings this saying means much more to me and makes perfect sense.

We are slowly loosing our freedoms and no one seems to mind. Oh the loss is
disguised in different justifications but they are still losses and I certainly notice these losses of freedoms and wonder what is happening to our country. Enough of my politics.

This is a quilt top I took the time to make this weekend. I started it last night and finished it today. This quilt will go to Ukraine with my friend. You read about her in previous posts, my co-worker who became a citizen of the United States earlier this year. She is going home for the first time in 7 years. She is very happy to be traveling there as an US citizen. I asked her if I could make her mom a red/white/blue table topper and she said yes. It is actually more like a table quilt, I have not measured it yet but probably
about 60" square. I like how it turned out, the pattern was free, I received it in the mail in some sort of add for a quilting magazine. I just might have to make one for myself.
Well I best get off and make some dinner. Have a good evening. Dot

I love your patriotic quilt Dot and the table topper - I agree, over here in the UK we see infringements of our liberty creeping in by stealth - however this morning I have to say how glad I am that I'm living in the UK and not Zimbabwe - amazing how the UK and US were prepared to go into Iraq and Afghanistan but the whole world watches and weeps as Mugabe decimates his own people - a very sad time indeed
I love your quilts.
I'm from the UK aswell and totally agree with you and Anne.
love and hugs xxx
Your quilts are just great, Dot. I have not made any RWB quilts...yet. I would like to do so one day. I agree with you about our personal freedoms being insideously taken away. I don't understand why everyone else is not noticing.
Congrats to the happy couple *s* Love those red-white-and-blue quilts.
