I have been busy

I made 8 more blocks for SITP. I have the other 8 large blocks to make and then I will move on to the small outer blocks.

I decided to make a detour. I found on Mary Lou and Cherries Too some really cute wonky fish so I had to see what I could do. Well mine are not as good as hers but they will do.

I am in the process of making a baby quilt for the new grand baby. I have decided to make some to keep here and this will be one of them.

I have one more fish block to make than the words. Can you guess what the words might be? If not you will have to wait until I reveal the quilt. It is fun and I do feel like I am getting better as I work on them. Just picture some eyes and bubbles. The fabric on the background is a real light blue, show up white in the picture.
Well not much else. I am tired so done for the night. Good night to all and I pray all have a grand week. Dot

I'm stuck

I am stuck on this pattern. This is the 3rd one I have made in a month. It started back on June 22 when I decided to make a patriotic version to send to Ukraine with a friend. I made it as a gift from America for her mother. I liked it so much I had to make another one. I used red/white/blue Christmas fabric. ( I don't have a picture of it yet.)
I have a friend who is getting married and I have made this one for her. A problem has come about though, I like this one so much I don't know if I want to give it to her. I just might have to come up with plan B.
Do you ever make a quilt and when completed you don't want to part with it? I probably will give this to her but it will be hard.
Have a good evening. Dot.

Quilting Progress

First thing I had to make myself an avocado milkshake today. Oh they are sooo good. I had an avocado that was soon to be to ripe so I made the milkshake instead of just eating it. Here is what you do; you put an avocado in a blender, add some ice, some water, and condensed sweetened milk. Blend until smooth, drink and enjoy. Don't as amounts, I don't know, I just guess as I go along.

Here is where I am withe the miniature quilt. I have made a plan change on the border so I will have to wash the fabric. I probably won't do that until next weekend so I will move on to the next project.
Almost time to make dinner tonight. Have a good evening and a great week. Dot

I found out today the last two of the quilts I had at Sister's did if fact sell. I was waiting for them to be returned and had not found any packages on my doorstep so I called. I had made a mistake and put my P.O. address on the return postage. I received a phone call asking for the street address. I received one box but was patiently awaiting a couple more. I finally called to make sure they did not get lost. I was told three of my quilts sold. What a surprise to me. I am very very happy and I guess if there was one that was not to sell, I was glad it was the Motorcycle Mama.

My son really likes this quilt. I told him he could have it if it didn't sell. Well I just might be making another version of this quilt for him. It will not be exactly the same but very similar. I made this without a pattern I don't know if I could duplicate it exactly and there are a couple changes I thought of after I made it.
There is a bloggiversary give away at Blogging near Philadelphia. You might want to get you name in for the neat drawing Nancy is having.
Have a good day. Dot

Miniture Booty Swap

This is the fabric I have chosen for my booty swap quilt. I usually don't wash my fabric before using but since it is highly recommended I will do that. I have the corners snipped and ready for the machine. I wanted to post a picture of the fabric choices and let everyone out there know I am alive and busy.
I have been working on quilts just can't post them yet, in a few weeks.
Have a good day. Dot

Sad News

My motorcycle quilt that I had in the Sister's show sold, or so I thought. I received it back in the mail today. It is marked sold on the tag but I guess the buyer changed her mind. In some ways I am sad but in other ways a bit relieved. I don't ever use this quilt but I know I will never make another like it so it was bitter sweet when I had heard it sold. Well, it is back with me, there must be a reason. I have not received any of the others back so I don't know if they sold or not.
Have a good evening. I have been busy but with quilts I can't show at this time. Dot

4 quilts minus the quilter

What you might ask does that title mean. Well, I have 4 quilts in the Sister's show but I will be unable to attend due to other obligations.
This is one of my quilts. It is my Citrus quilt. I would love to see pictures of my quilts hanging at Sisters so I have decided to make a little contest out of this.
The first person to post pictures of my four quilts on their blog and let me know about it I will send them a little goodie.
I don't know if I am going to make it a scavenger hunt with the other three or post pictures of them. What do you think? Let me know by tomorrow and I will post according to the majority post/no post.
All the quilts have been posted on my blog during the process of making or at the completion of the process.
Enjoy Sister's and I look forward to many many pictures.

Celebrating the 4th

We went to our property in Montana for the 4th of July and camped. We left on the 3rd and came back today. Oh what a good time we had. Here is a picture of dinner cooking. This is the 4th of July, my sister and her husband joined us for two days.

Here is my sister making a really good stir fry on the camp fire.

My BIL and hubby working on the chain saw, getting it tuned.

Our campfire.

Coffee brewing. The pink leather glove is our pot holder to pour the coffee.

Our burning barrel. We burned the pile of limbs behind it.

My hubby cutting up a downed tree.

We got a lot of work done but doesn't look like much. Hard work and good company who could ask for more. It was a really fun time.
Enjoy your evening. Dot
