The body of Tobacco Road is finished. I will do borders next. Bonnie has not posted her ideas on the borders. I have an idea but will wait to see what Bonnie has done. I am thinking of doing some wonky letters but time will tell.
A really fun quilt to make. Time consuming but fun. I think I would have stayed with the darker browns for the brick part of the quilt but than again the lighter browns do add some variety. I don't have enough room to lay out as Bonnie suggested so I had to just sew and hope a got things mixed up enough. I think I succeeded.
Well time to get ready for the night news. Dot

Wow, you're fast, I'm impressed
wow Dot! Just awsome!
This feels luxurious to me. The browns you chose have a sense of Ultrasuede cloth. You've created something here. Really!

You must have been glued to your machine this past weekend - fast work for a quilt with lots of little pieces! I do like your color choices. It really is going to be lovely all quilted up!!!
Cheers!

This looks wonderful! the colours look great. What a nuisance that you only have enough gold for half the border. Isn't that always the way?
It looks wonderful and I LOVE the way those pinwheels just sparkle and add life to the body. Well done, Dot!
Your fabric choices make this quilt just dance! Very good.
wow what a beautiful quilt! I've been away from the computer all week - evacuated from hurricane but now back home tonight... and your web page is my first one I visited tonight. :)
LOVE all of your fabrics - the colors look great together! Love from Texas! ~bonnie

I really like this one! I might have to add that to my "to do one of these days" list.
