Traveling down Tobacco Road

Here is where I stop on Tobacco Road tonight. I have traveled far on the road this week-end but I just can't go any further. I don't know how Bonnie does it. She is completed and here is where I stand. Things I would do different. I would have used more of a light brown where I used the beige with white flowers in the pinwheels. I think it is a bit to bright but this is what it is. I do like what I see and will enjoy this quilt. Bonnie is right, they are a lot of work in the beginning but well worth the work in the end.
Good night to all and I hope everyone had a good Labor Day week-end.
Happy Birthday to my Mom. Dot

Yay Dot! That's a lot of sewing you've done this weekend. You should be very pleased with the amount you got done; I would be. Looking forward to seeing the finished top.

I haven't started mine yet-still working on the OC! I disagree with you- I think the bright in the pinwheels is great, you can actually see the pinwheels, they don't disappear into all the other little pieces of 4 patches. While I love looking at the scrappy quilts, when I get around to making them, I want to be able to tell there is a pinwheel, otherwise, why bother to make it??

Well, not that I get a vote or anything but just so you know, I am dazzled! I totally dig it and wouldn't change anything. ;)
