As I noted in my comment to Laurie Ann at Quilting Rush blog I would post a picture of an quilt I made for my friend as she recovered from breast cancer. She is still struggling with cancer, she will be on meds the rest of her life, but she is doing well. Her favorite rock band is U2 so I made her a U2 quilt. It is just 3.5 inch squares with the U2 in black squares and the rest of the quilt in all colors. I made the quilt so which direction she used the quilt it would have U2 in the right direction and one upside down. She loves this quilt and uses it often when she is having a bad day.

Busy day at work today. We were two employees short so it made more for the rest of us but we made it through. I am going to sew for a few minutes than exercise. I look forward to Friday when I will be home all day so I will have more time to quilt. Bills need to be paid, I wasn't born rich and didn't marry a rich man, but very content with my life. If all I did was quilt I might get tired of that also. Have a good evening.

Well, you may not have been born rich nor married a rich man, but you are rich in spirit to make this fabulous U2 quilt for your friend!

That is really a neat idea. I'll have to jot that down in my quilt notebook for future ideas. Thanks for sharing! I have to work to and it is a drag sometimes, but if I didn't I wouldn't have $ for fabric, so it's a catch-22. At least I have lots of quilty friends here at work in the same boat!

What a nice quilt and so thoughtful of you to get that "U2" in there.

I like the personalization of this quilt. What a great feeling to make and gift something that give such comfort.
