Here is a picture of the Christmas quilt that I finished yesterday and started quilting. I am doing a candle in the beige snowflake material. It is my adaptation of a candle pantograph I saw on a website. I liked the idea of candles for the quilt but didn't want to do the whole quilt with candles. I also didn't want to wait to order the pantograph, so I decided to try and see what I could come up with. I hope you can see what is quilted. I need to work on my photography. I better get back to the quilting. Good Day.

Yup, I double clicked it, and you can see the candles...! They look soooo nice..*VBS* What a good idea!! Love your quilts and your creative way of getting what you want done with them. I think individual and unique is the best!!

I agree with Finn :) Your candle quilt is lovely!

I tried to find some Internet addresses for Finnish fabrics to you, and found some:

http://www.finlayson.fi/kodintekstiilit/kankaat.htm

http://www.marimekko.fi/fi
http://www.marimekko.fi/fi/sisustus/kankaat/etusivu

I know, that there is not so many fabric factories here in Finland, and Marimekko and Finlayson are the most famous ones. Perhaps you have heard the names. The Finnish fabrics are very high quality.

In fact the Marimekko fabrics are quite expensive, perhaps as expensive as the American quilting fabrics here in Finland.

I hope, that you can find the way to read the pages in English. Some of them have even a English version. And

Here some Finnish words for example:

kangas, kankaat = fabric, fabrics
tekstiili = textile

And I'd like to give you more Finnish words, if you need some. :)
