Two Down

Well I finally finished quilting two of my UFO's. I have three left. I can't stand not having them quilted and completed so they will be done before I do anything new. One of the quilts not completed is the blue and white flying geese I posted awhile back. This has been hanging around for about two to three years and needs to be done!!!!!!!!! Here is a picture of Candy Corn. It turned out okay. My dear daughter, whom at Christmas time informed me she doesn't need any more quilts, said she wants this quilt. She said it is just to ugly for anyone else to want and she wants it. I asked her about not having anymore quilts and she said if she chooses them it is okay but not to just make one and give it to her. We'll see.
This quilt turned out much nicer than I thought it would, I must say I like it. I have decided to name it DNA. It reminds me of the DNA samples they show on t.v.
I must go to work, I have to get my house cleaned. I am not the world's best house keeper. I look at pictures others post of their homes and I think, I am so grateful they don't see my mess. I put off house chores this week-end, decided to quilt instead, because I thought I was going to have Monday p.m. off from work. I worked the a.m. and was called to go to another office for the p.m. This meant I did not get any housework done as I had planned. We are going to have company at our house this week-end therefore I need to get things done.
Good evening to all.

Both quilts are lovely -- and I'd think about giving my daughter the quilt as well. Make her work for it ;0).

Just love the DNA quilt - reminds me a little of the Finnish flag quilt I just finished up - I was thinking of doing more with some strips of scraps - this is a great idea for that series!

You can't stand to have tops unquilted? You'd be busy at my house! I perhaps spend too much time cleaning and not enough quilting... we should definitely combine forces. I think the quilts are great... both of them!

Both of these quilts are beautiful. I hope you realize your daughter was being sarcastic when she said it was ugly. I wish I had your resolve to finish things before starting new projects. I am trying to finish two for every one I start, and even that is hard for me to do. I have several kits that are calling my name loudly.

If you notice pictures on my blog - both my house and my yard- you will notice a lot of closeups. No overall pictures shown here. And for good reason.
