NW Quilting Expo

Just a quick question, is anyone planning to attend the NW Quilting Expo this week-end in Portland,OR? My friend and I are planning on going, we have not decided if it will be Friday or Saturday yet, but we are going to go early. I have decided I will carry this bag, so if there are any blogger quilters out there, who read my blog and see this bag, grab me and say hello. I will look forward to meeting you and I will also let you know which day I will be there later in the week. We are in the process of working out the time schedule.
This is what I did this week-end while watching television. My wrist gets cold, part of the healing process, so I decided to work on my fine motor skills and knit this wrist warmer while watching television. I knit it first on Saturday while watching USC beat the Cougars and then had to re-knit it on Sunday (it was just a bit to big) while I watched the Bengals loose to the Seahawks. I joined the football nickle swap over at Coffee Time Quilt Studios and choose the Bengals as my time. I felt out of the remaining teams to choose from this is the one I would want. They have Carson Palmer (USC Heisman trophy winner) as quarterback and Chad Johnson (just fun to watch) how could I go wrong. Well let me tell you, I have won only one game so far and lost two, that means I owe 16 nickle squares so far. Oh well, it is fun.
Have a great day. I go back to half days tomorrow. I am so excited. Pray that I make it. Dot

Dot, I expect to be there Saturday morning. We are meeting at the Salmon Creek park and ride at 8:30 a.m. and carpooling over. If I can't drive by then I'm hoping someone will take pity on me and pick me up. Presuming I get there I'll be watching for your bag. I have no idea what I'll be wearing or carrying. If it turns out we'll be there at the same time I'll decide on Friday and let you know.

Your wrist warmer is really neat, but I'm sorry you have to wear it.

I am also sorry that I don't live in the NW - what fun that you will be carrying that awesome bag so people can find you. It's like a treasure hunt and a blind date all rolled into one. HAVE FUN!

GO SEAHAWKS URRAH! hehe Not going to the Expo, Dot. You have a great time and let us all know what you saw/liked etc.

Love the wrist warmer. Congrats on going to 1/2 days. You'll only be 1/2 as bored now as you were :)

Man, she not only quilts with broken arms, she KNITS TOO! I am so impressed!

Wished I lived closer so I could go to the quilt expo - I'd go just so I can look for your bag and say "hello".

I wish in Portland this weekend, but I'll be home alone sewing and watching football. Hang in there, Cincinnati has to win sooner or later, just not this week against the Patriots.
