Top completed

Here it is, the completed Jacob's ladder top. It finished off at 95x95. It is a square quilt. I don't really know how I feel about square tops, it just doesn't seem right to me but it is staying this way. I will get a back put together and get it quilted. It will not be done for the anniversary which is on the 28th but I have already informed the kids of that and I will mail it to them when completed. Wow a queen size Jacob's ladder is a lot of 4 patch and HST's. Sure looks good though and my son should not complain about not having enough hanging over the sides. The reason it is on my bed is I wanted to check the hang length and it covers the mattress and box springs on my bed so should be the same for him.
Well onto the next project for the night. Good evening to all. Dot

This turned out lovely! Square? Yep, I think the same - not sure, but then a person could make 2 large and decorative pillow shams to kinda 'match'. Good thing about a square quilt is that the area most likely to received wear (the top, under the chins) could be rotated 3 more times before laundering! (that's my plan anyway! LOL )

Hi Dottie, the Jacob's Ladder turned out beautifully! And it's BIG!! I have to say "I love it"...but then I love all red and white quilts.
It's well worth waiting for. And hurray for the snow in Portland just in time for Christmas. I'd be happy to send you MORE! Big hugs, Finn
