Not fabulous but functional

Well this is the complete boxy stars quilt using the pattern from Quiltville. As stated in the title it is not fabulous but it will be functional. I will quilt it and donate to charity. The blocks are fun and easy to make but unfortunately I wanted to move on to another project so this quilt will be child size. Oh well, not every quilt needs to be big. Kids need a smaller sized quilt to drag around.
I received good news today. I will have some quilts in the Sisters Quilt Show this July. I am excited about that. I haven't decided if I will post pictures of them before the show or not. I have to ponder on this for awhile. I will say they are all quilts that I have at one time posted and even shown the progress of the quilts. I just might make everyone wait until after the show, see if any photos of them pop up on blogs. Hee Hee.
Off to make dinner. Dot

Woooo-whoo Dot! That is fantastic. I knew you'd get your quilts in the show because they are spectacular. I love this scrappy one, too.

congrats on getting some quilts in a show. i saw the quilt you made my mom, it is beautiful. you're quite talented. all i can do is make scarves and the occasional blanket out of yarn. but it keeps me out of trouble. you know, idle hands and all of that....

oh, this is your niece, patri, and i've emailed you as well...

besos.

My kids love their tot size quilts that were made for them as babies. Even today the teens wrap up in them while doing their studies at the diningroom table.

That is fabulous news, Dot! But I'm not the least bit surprised. You're a wonderfully talented quilter. So, did I already see at least one of the Sisters Show quilts in person...;) ;)

How fun for you to have some quilts going to the show! And your little Boxy Stars - I think it looks great as a 12 block quilt - I've always always always made BIG quilts, but my Little Boy adores the throw size ones for snuggling - I should take a tip from you and make a few more smaller quilts! A child will really love this one, I just know it!

Cheers!

How fabulous to have a quilt chosen for the Sisters Show. Unfortunately I won't be there myself, so I'm looking forward to photos of your quilt and others.
