One more complete

I finished this table topper last week. I needed a new cover for my antique sewing machine so I came up with this idea. I made it while I sewed, making up the pattern as I went along. I wanted something patriot but springy, so this is it. There are a few things I would have done different but I don't seem to find these problems until after I am done.

I also spent my Mother's Day sewing, along with doing laundry and cooking. I am using up HST's that I have from other projects and a free paper piecing elf I found on the internet. This will probably end up being a baby blanket I donate to charity. I might send it to Tennessee for the flood victims.

I hope everyone had a Happy Mother's Day. Mine was wonderful. Both of my children called and I had great conversations with them. I called my Mom and enjoyed my conversation with her.

I am still busy quilting, I have 3 baby quilts done that I can't reveal right now and many knitting projects going on.

I am busy with a political campaing right now so my posts will probably be few and far between. I know my readership will suffer but that is the price I must pay.

May God help us save this great country.

Love the hexies. Mind sharing where the gnome pattern is from, I would love to make some of those!

Look up ARTISANIA, this is on the bottom of the pattern. The author is Sonja Callaghan. Google either of those and you should find it.

I too had a little sewing time yesterday, and loved it. Glad you had a great day!

Love the flowers. It's always good to learn from your mistakes. One day, I think maybe I'll have learned enough to make a perfect quilt!
