Here is the first of my campfire quilts. I have plans for others but I have so many irons in the fire at this time. I am still working on the quilting of my Christmas quilt. I should finish it today if all goes well. I will trim and put binding on tomorrow then at some point sew the binding down while watching t.v.
This is a quilt I made using up scrapes of fabric. I made arcs, paper pieced the fabric on the arcs then sewed them togeather with white between. {As you can see} I was getting frustrated and didn't think the quilt would turn out that great so I got sloppy and now you can see colored threads and dark fabric showing through the white. I learned my lesson on this, any quilt can look ugly and as waste of time until quilted, then it most likely will look good. Oh well, it will make a good utility quilt, which most of mine are anyway.
This is a picture of the back of the quilt. I focused on working on my feathers. They are free hand. I once againg thought the quilt would turn out ugly so I did not do a very good job quilting the border of the quilt. Oh well practice and lesson learned. I need to work on my patience.

Time to run off to do my daily errands. Have a great Day

The campfire quilt looks wonderful..I'll bet you can't wait to get it to an actual campfire in Montana!!! I still think it's such an awesome idea.

And you scraps stitched to arcs turned out well. Love the curve, and what a good way to get that down pat...with paper. I'd never have thought of that..great job Dot!!!

Hi, Dot. I LOVE your curved strippy quilt. It's too bad that you aren't as happy with it as you might have been, but from here it looks wonderful. Good for you for doing curves.
