Spring is on its way!!! This is a picture of my crocus's out front of my house. I like to see these blooming for two main reasons. First reason the white ones are my little patch of snow. When I see the white crocus's in the spring I think of a patch of snow, (we don't get much snow here and I dream of a good snow storm each year), if we don't get one I know my crocus's will come and give me a smile when I look at them. These flowers also remind me that there is more to come. It is becoming that time of year when I can start getting ready for the planting and enjoyment of flowers all summer and into fall. Here is a quilt I made a few years ago. I downloaded all these flower embroidery patterns off the internet. I found them on various sites for free. I then made this quilt that I call, My Flower Garden.
I really like this quilt. I reminds me of all the beautiful flowers out there and guess these flowers will never have to be thrown out. Oh the silly things that go through my mind. I hope every one has a great week end. If all goes as planned I will have a new quilt to post next week. I am almost finished quilting it, hope to finish tomorrow and bind.

Hubby and I are planning on going to the movies tomorrow. Walk the Line is playing at the cheap theater in town, I love Johnny Cash so I really want to see this movie but wanted to wait until it played at the Hood in Gresham so we will go tomorrow to see it. I am really excited to see it on the big screen. Hope I am not disappointed.

I will get back to quilting now. Good evening to all.

I love the way you used the florals in the sashing - it's almost like looking at a field of flowers AND a closeup of them at the same time.

We really liked Walk the Line a lot - I'm sure you will too!

Hi Dot, love the flowers..they are so beautiful. I'll have to share one of my favorite Oregon memories with you, all the wild daffodils blooming all across the fields around our little house. We were in Oregon back in the early 60's, stationed at Hebo...was a wonderful time to be alive, and then came the Cuban Missle crisis. He was sent to Alaska, above the Artic CIrcle and I came back to WI. But I remember Oregon springs..lovely.

The flower quilt is spectular...a garden that never fades or dies away..I like that idea..*VBS*
