Sunday Post

Not much to post, I have been busy cleaning house and doing some outside work. Here are a couple pictures of stepping stones I have been working on the past few years. I am going to make myself a small court yard out in my back yard and am making these stones to go in that area. I will past a few pictures of them along the way. The patterns are my creations. I just play with stained glass, decide on what I want, draw out the pattern, trace it on contact paper, place the stained glass where I want, put in bottom of my mold, fill with mortar, and wait. Some turn out better than others but all of them will be used.
I was thinking of saving them and taking them to MT for use on our property there, but dear hubby says no, I can always make more.
Here is the Montana quilt loaded and in the process of being quilted. It will take a while. I am doing 1" cross hatching on the sides with free motion in the center. Hope it looks good when finished. I will post a completed picture but here is a sneak peek..Thank you for all your kind comments. Have a great day, rain here but hope you are having sun in your neck of the woods.

I really like the stepping stones. What do you use for a mould? I have been wanting to do some but it's one of those things that I just never get to. I also like the quilt. I want a long arm quilt machine but don't see one in my future. There was some fantastic machine quilting at our show this weekend. Made me jealous!

The paving stones are both really nice! I'm a blue and green type girl, so I like the turtle the most. :)

What other patterns are you going to do? Garden denizens like a coiled snakey, a lizard, a spider, or a cricket? How many were you planning on making?

Your tree quilt is nice too - seeing all these people with long-arm machines makes me so jealous!
