Blanket for Lucy

I just finished this dog blanket for my son's dog last night. He and his wife adopted a dog from the dog shelter in the city they live. He for some reason named her Lucy. She is a real cute dog, a sheltie I believe. When I spoke with him and asked if Karen had received her birthday gift, he said yes, but the dog needed a quilt more than she did. What was I to do but make a quilt for Lucy. It was quite easy, I had left over strips from a TATW that I made last year so I just sewed them together with some black/white print I had lying around. I put her name on it using the wonky letters that Tonya taught us and added black binding. I will get this sent off to Lucy tomorrow as I will work later today.

Yes, Lucky Lucy!
Hi, I am here to visit via Ali Honey, & have enjoyed your blog, & admired your quilts. I love the last one you posted, using Judy's HAD. I think it is lovely.

Lucky Lucy, indeed. I hope we get to see a pic of Lucy on her prized quilt. Great job!

I agree with Laurie Ann, lucky lucy indeed!! My goodness but that is a great welcome home puppy present!
I like your HAD project from April, but agree that the contrast of the green to the rest is pretty strong. But then, you know, I always think my quilts aren't that pretty. I'm almost never happy with them..*VBS* The great new is more stash busted!!! Hugs, Finn
