What I am up to now

Thank-you all who wished me well during my time of being sick. It was terrible. I am finally back to sewing. I am so ready to sew. After reading Judy's blog today and being informed she is taking two months off from the Hour a Day Quilt projects, I have decided I would make this pattern. I am going to try to make it all orange and white.
I have been working on the Grandma's Flower Garden as I watch the hockey play-offs. My teams are doing okay, not great, but they are not out of it yet. I do hope they don't get knocked out but it does seem like they are loosing their steam, their legs are getting tired. It is a long season and they play hard especially in the play-offs.
I have also been doing some long arm quilting on the charity quilts I do for Rosie. If there are any long arm quilters out there wanting a good project for practice or just a good project to help a great charity, you can contact Rosie and she will set you up. Work has been keeping me very busy. We certainly have made changes in our lives since my MIL died, I don't have as much "alone" time as I used to and so that cuts into my sewing time. I most likely won't be making as many quilts as previous and won't be posting as much either. I guess that is life happening to me and changes are happening, not that I am complaining, just getting adjusted to the changes.
Well I am going to close now, the Canucks and Ducks game is starting. I certainly hope the Canucks win.

YOu know Jacob's Ladder is one of my favorite block designs but I've never made a JL quilt. Something I need to remedy after this month as I've promised myself to only work on UFOs in May.

I sure understand about life changing things for you. Check in when you can as we really do care about you and will miss hearing and seeing what you're doing.

I have saved that very same pattern for 'someday' *s* Sometimes we get caught up in daily life and forget to just enjoy the process of quilting. It's not really about the quantity - but enjoying the journey.

In the 'adjusting' phase here, too.

I understand all too well about making adjustments, it's all a part of life. I made a JL quilt many years ago and have just packed it to put on my bed this weekend while I'm off to a quilt retreat! It's an old, snuggly quilt now and I love it. Best wishes on each new day and big hugs to you along the way...

I have that same Jacob's Ladder pattern, and I was thinking about making one of those someday. I think it will look lovely in orange and white.

I understand about life changes, but I do hope that you will check in with us from time to time and let us know how you are doing.

After a year off for life changes, I am planning to pick up the quilting again.

You know how to find me if you need to talk ...
