My Own form of Therapy

I just couldn't take it, I was going stir crazy, so I took my splint off and very carefully and slowly started sewing these triangles together. I need it for both my mental and I figure physical therapy. Hey, what can it do but improve my fine motor skills. I know I won't have speed sewing sessions and who knows what the out come will be but I am smiling. I do believe my husband will be happier also. I am driving him crazy, being as antsy as I have been this evening.
I have a doctor appointment on Wednesday afternoon. I am praying for no surgery. I have peeked under the ace bandage, a lot of swelling and discoloration. I can't wait until I can see it without the bandage. I know that's weird but I like stuff like that. I might take my camera and get a picture of it. I don't know if hubby will go for that.
Well the wrist is starting to ache a bit so I best go. I did sew today. If you could see the smile on my face. Dot

Dot, I am so sorry to read about your accident. Please don't push too hard, I understand the NEED to sew... but, be careful! You need rest and time to heal. I'm sending hugs and lots of prayers for healthy days ahead. Hang in there...

I hope the sewing doesn't make the arm worse. It obviously makes the mind and spirit better. I guess you can't have it all!

Good luck on the appointment - Quilting is great therapy for the body and soul....

You are amazing! I wonder if they have any "broken arm/bandaid/accident/motorcycle" material out there that you could make a whimsical wall hanging out of as a reminder of your 'need to sew with two broken arms' period.

oh my gosh - ouch! I understand the "going stir-crazy" part, but how about trying to relax the arms and read for a week or two? (Harry Potter, start to finish? Elizabeth George? War and Peace?) take care of yourself

I don't think that's weird, I took my camera with me when my dh got his lasik done and took a digital video of his eye on the huge tv screen. ;)

Hope your arms are feeling better soon - be sure and TAKE it EASY!! ~Bonnie

That's really good news. I'm praying for a good and speedy recovery. You'll be sewing like before in no time at all.
