Making a backing

Many, many, many years ago, well over a decade, I purchased these long strips of fabric from a local craft store. I have sewn them together for the back of quilts, probably 4 or 5 by now, and I do believe this will be the last of this material. I think it is fabric from sheets. As you can tell from the pattern on the fabric it is most likely sheet fabric from the eighties. It works for what I want and I think I paid about $5.00 for all this. I think it was a pretty good deal, considering I probably got about 6 quilt backs out of it. I don't know if it will be enough for the quilt in mind.

I am going to put it on the back of quilt in a can (search down to Sept. 9th) I made while recovering from the accident. If it is not enough I will add more remnants from other backings and have a very interesting back on
this very interesting quilt. You don't have to ask, you know, I will post a picture when done. I will promise I will also post a picture of the back so you can see how it turns out.
I must go to get this almost done before the USC game at 12:30. FIGHT ON!!!!!!!!!!! Dot

Thank you for visiting my blog and leaving a comment. I'll be back at your blog looking for the result of this exiting quilt, and more. Keep up the good work.

I love using up what you have -especially a backing deal like you came up with...should be fun to see how the quilt and backing turn out.

Cute material! My MIL made a quilt out of old T-shirts for my hubby and she backed it with some material which looks better than the quilt - so it's on the bed upside down!

Can't beat that price for 5 or 6 backings! Great deal. I've tried to get a sneak peek at that terrific scrappy top, but no go. can't wait to see it all!
