Input requested cont..........

Here is a picture with some shoes around the bottom of the tree. These are just pinned on for now. I wanted to see what it looked like and get some input before I did it for reals. Please let me know what you think. There are other options on my previous post for today.
I will thank-you in advance.

Oh Dot, this one is nice! The shoe-tree's idea is stronger.

This is a really amazing idea! I'm wondering if you have a few more shoes to put under the tree. The photo below with more leaves looked fuller/richer to me.
Happy Quilting!

I agree. You need more.

This is my favorite version . . . it's all about the shoes *s*

I have looked at all the pictures. I vote for skipping the leaves altogether. The shoes are supposed to be the leaves. I love seeing them scattered on the ground - very fall like - very cute! I can picture a pile of shoes with a rake next to the tree. :-) Wouldn't it be fun to have a shoe tree in your back yard? Then my ever constantly growing children could just go out and pick a new size! Ha!

Great quilt!

I like the tree with only shoes and more shoes on the ground but not a lot.

I prefer the last version but there is still something missing on the lower right corner I think.
Maybe a rake or some shoe boxes?
I wish you plenty of ideas. Take care.

My personal favorite is the one with the shoes at the base of the tree. Karolee said it best, the shoes are the leaves.

i just popped in and don't know the story behind your shoe tree.. but it is very cute! :) I knew of a real shoe tree once... in college my husbands faternity had one outside their home. It had dozens of shoes with laces tied together thrown up into the tree... aparently there was some story there but I don't remember the exact details...somehting about if you left your shoes out on the floor anywhere in the frat house even your own room.. they were free game... keep them in your closet or on your feet. I just remember thinking of all the $$$ dangeling form those branches...

Ooooh, I love this version--just the right amount of shoes.
