A few from Last Year

These are two quilts I made last year using patterns offered by Judy L at Patchwork Times.  The top one was offered in May or June around there sometime and I decided to to make the quilt in red, white, and blue hoping to have it done by the 4th of July but I did not.  I finished it in October, it is done and donated so all worked out find. The name of the quilt is Nicole's Sofa Quilt.
This one is another offered in the fall and I decided to use Halloween fabrics.  The name Judy gave this quilts is Sing A Happy Song.  I don't know if I am really happy with my fabric choices but the quilt is done and donated and I suppose someone there is very happy with it.  Done and donated are a good thing in my book.

I have been very busy the last few weeks with some schooling.  I am taking a very tense course to hopefully become a Certified Nursing Assistant.  I have been unemployed since April and I think I need to find a new field right now to find employment.   Two weeks of intense book work and two weeks of clinicals.  I will be taking a state board test to become certified after I complete my schooling next week.  So far things are going well, I do have plans to go forward with my studies to become a Medical Aid but like most things, one step at a time.

I have a couple quilts in progress and some special Valentines surprises in the works.  My sewing machine is probably going through withdrawals as I have not been doing much sewing but hopefully that will end when my schooling ends.  I better get back to my books, I have to give a presentation tomorrow on Range Of Motion exercises.  Take care

May God Bless.  Dot

Going back to school is hard after a long absence, but with a goal in site it makes it easier! The sewing machine will still be there when you finish your studies. I love Judy's quilt patterns, although I have never made one YET. One of these days... I have my own schooling to finish yet. Your versions are both lovely! Cheers! Evelyn
